Winners are Grinners!

Well, I'm having a really good week!
Firstly I won a giveaway run by Katrina from The Block - The Lifestyle Blog. Her blog is a great read full of very useful tips for blogging, social media, home decorating and running a family. She can really do it all! So I was very surprised to read my little name on the winners list for this beautiful iPad cover! Yay!

And yesterday I was also awarded 'The Versatile Blogger' Award from Kim over at Aquarian Woman.

I'm still excited by the fact that people actually read my blog on a daily basis, so a big thank you to those who do! And thank you Kim for recognising and awarding my blog!

So firstly, here's seven random things about me:

1. I never get sick of watching 'Friends' re-runs. Gosh I love that show! Last night I entertained myself for about half an hour watching Friends gag reels on Youtube. That show was just too funny and the cast worked so well together. Ah, good times in the 90s!

2. Chocolate is my hands-down favourite food. I cannot resist a good line or two of Cadbury Top-Deck.

3. Tea is my hands-down favourite drink. It comforts me, it relaxes me and I never get sick of the taste. I'm traditionally a black tea or English Breakfast girl, do not come near me with that herbal stuff! The best thing about teaching is a cup of tea and a chat in the staffroom during recess and lunch breaks! Ok not really, but I look forward to the rest time!

4. I've been sucked into this season of My Kitchen Rules! Those ads were so annoying during the tennis and I swore I wouldn't watch it and here I am night after night glued to the TV waiting for all the meanies to come undone in the kitchen. Quality TV there haha!

5. I'm pretty sure I spent more money on clothes as a 'poor' uni student than I do now in my well-paid full-time job. I don't know what's wrong with me but I think attending a uni near a huge shopping centre had something to do with it. Not that I mind the extra pennies that are building up in my bank account due to a lack of shopping!

6. I have ridiculously strong nails that grow in a perfect square shape. I always have. They grow and grow, rarely break and are really strong! I've never bitten them, so I think that helps but whenever I get a manicure the ladies always comment that I mustn't do much housework to have such nice strong nails!

7. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. Probably weird but I think smoking is absolutely pointless so I never touched them.
